EXPERIENCE DAYS & MINI BREAKS

We've partnered with Wudu Cudu to give you the unique opportunity to take over an entire pub for your family gathering, engagement party, Stag, Hen, Birthday, corporate team building mini break, Christmas works party, product launch or private event.

There's plenty to do, pulling pints at your own bar, or be a DJ, have a club night, a Karaoke competition with your friends or hosting a meal in this charming Victorian music hall themed inn.

You can also use the pub as a base and explore the beautiful surrounding countryside, stunning coast line and castle, you can even pop over to France for a bit of shopping and be back in time for supper in your own pub. And if you just want a quiet break, summer you can chill in our sunny garden with water features and a choice of seven beach huts, and winter you can cozy up with hot toddie's and furry blankets by the log burner.

You will have plenty of room for up to nine friends or family members with five bedrooms which all have ensuite facilities. There's also a a couple of put you up beds for four more if you need them.

THE AREA

The Dover District covers an area of 31,484 hectares (123 square miles), with a coastline of around 20 miles, and is one of twelve districts that make up the county of Kent. The district is home to the internationally famous White Cliffs and is the UK's Gateway to Europe, with easy access to London and the continent.

 

Known as the ‘Gateway to England’, Dover in White Cliffs Country, Kent is an active, adventurous and authentic English town. From fascinating history and heritage to beautiful countryside and fantastic coastal views – there is plenty to discover and explore!

 

Discover 2000 years of history at Dover Castle situated on top of the famous White Cliffs.  Immerse yourself in the royal court of King Henry II in the Great Tower or travel deep inside the White Cliffs to explore the atmospheric Underground Hospital within the Secret Wartime Tunnels.

Visit one of Dover’s many museums, from Crabble Corn Mill to Dover Transport Museum and Dover Museum & Bronze Age Boat Gallery, where you can see the world’s oldest known sea-going boat. 
 
Walk along the world-famous White Cliffs of Dover to South Foreland Lighthouse at St Margaret’s Bay.  This was the site of Faraday's work in pioneering the use of electricity in lighthouses and was the first to display an electrically powered signal.

Get up close to nature with a visit to Samphire Hoe.  This stunning location with wildflowers, birds, sea angling and peace and quiet provides gentle and interesting walks.

Take advantage of our wonderful coastline and experience a unique and exhilarating tour with Dover Sea Safari onboard a purpose-built RIB speed boat.

The new Marina Curve in Dover is a fantastic place to experience its majestic seafront.  Enjoy live music every Sunday during the summer months plus a variety of places to eat and drink.  

There’s a great selection of places to stay to satisfy every taste and budget, from traditional B&B’s and self-catering cottages to quirky shepherds’ huts.

THINGS TO SEE AND DO IN DOVER
  • Stroll along the clifftops of the White Cliffs of Dover, and take in the beautiful views over the English Channel, watching the sailing boats, fishing vessels, huge ferries and glamorous cruise ships as they enter and depart this world famous port. 

 

  • Visit historic South Foreland Lighthouse. This was the site of Faraday's work in pioneering the use of electricity in lighthouses and was the first to display an electrically powered signal. It was also from here that Marconi sent the first ship-to-shore radio transmission.

 

  • Take a leisurely walk to St. Margaret's Museum for a fascinating insight into local history, or visit the Pines Garden Gallery to see the connection between Art and Nature as interpreted by local artists.
